What We Believe

While there is so much richness and complexity of the Christian faith, and of the unique Presbyterian contribution to the Christian community, we offer these seven statements as our core beliefs, and invite you to read, to respond, and to join us in discovering what a great God we worship at Forest Presbyterian:

1. We believe in God - the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.

2. We believe the Bible is God’s written Word, and is our guide for our beliefs and our daily living.

3. We believe we are all imperfect and sinful, but that Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for our sins, and calls us to believe in Him, and to follow Him.

4. We believe that followers of Jesus Christ gather to worship, to fellowship, to learn, and to serve.

5. We believe that followers of Jesus Christ are called to invite others to follow Jesus Christ.

6. We believe that followers of Jesus Christ are called to reach out to others with faith and compassion in His name.

7. We practice our Biblical faith in the Reformed tradition, governed by elected elders.
